This week I’m working on about a million art projects.
Okay, that’s obviously an exaggeration, but it feels like it!
I’m finishing up the last of my big group of custom orders for chicken mugs, and it will feel soo good to get these out this weekend!
I did have a couple catastrophes, I dropped one mug while I was glazing it, which broke two more when it fell on them. Three other mugs ended up with cracks in the bottom due to another dumb mistake.
The ceramics game is so fragile, you win some and you lose some, and that’s just the way of it. It always makes me a bit sad to throw work away, but there’s always more clay and glaze to make new wonderful things!
My desk is overflowing with paintings this week too! Ever since I discovered the fun of colored Bombay India Ink, I’ve been hooked! I can’t stop painting with this fun medium! I’ve been making lots of chicken characters this week. I’m not sure exactly what I’m going to do with them all, right now I’m just letting them come to life and I’ll see where they take me.

That’s the fun of art making!
